The morning seemed to be dragging, as Athena once the great Goddess of Wisdom stood on her terrace, overlooking her home of Olympus. Many of her brethren had already visited the human realm, the new modern version, who seemed to make fun of her and her own. The human's no longer needed them. Precious few if any worshiped them now. Even her own precious owls now had no powers, they were simply hunters of the sky, wild and in abandon of their old life.
Her own precious owl, sat with her head tucked under her wing, still sound asleep. Lilith had very few left of her own linage and it was heart breaking to see her weep and mourn long for those who have passed, or shall pass, with no lasting blood line of the Great Mother. Turning once more to the window, she looked out again.
The home of the Gods was still in grand splender, but it was quiet, many visited the modern world of the humans so often that they were not long for home, save to replenish thier physical needs of sustenance. With a soft sigh, Athena walked to her scrying pool, running a lynth hand over the water, an image appeared.
It was of a city, she knew not wear and she didn't really care. But people hustled and bustled about like ants, always worrying of the next moment or minute. As she studied a woman's new clothing wear, she waved her hand and done it. Testing the feel of jeans, cladding along her legs, while the strange shoes gave her even more height. Not liking being even taller, she waved away the shoes.
She tried many outfits finally settling on one she really liked. Dark blue jean's with a white tank, an owl's face on the front, as a scarf hung loose about her neck. She fingered the light weight vest, then down at the enclosed but comfortable shoes.
Athena wrote a quick message to her sleeping friend and departed, down to the center of Olympus, going to see if there was anyone there she could speak to of things she should know while in this new modern world.
